Susana Lopez, Ed.D., LPC
Dr. Lopez has practiced therapy for 16 years and licensed as a professional counselor (LPC). Her clinical experience was attained with a variety of populations and settings including: a faith-based counseling center, an educational enrichment program for youth, and adult inpatient and outpatient communities. Dr. Lopez offers services for Employment Assistance Program and Victim Compensation. She has engaged in contract work for non-profit and for-profit organizations offering individual, couples and family counseling.
She earned a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology and conducted her practicum experience at the Denver County Jail implementing psychological testing, and individual and group therapy. She gained internship experience at the Boulder Institute for Psychotherapy and Research, where she obtained further knowledge and practice in neuroscience, attachment and psychodynamic theories.
Dr. Lopez has been an Affiliate Professor at Colorado Christian University, teaching for the College of Adult & Graduate Studies in the Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. She has provided private practice services since 2008 and a lifelong student!
Dr. Lopez's faith is foundational in all areas of her life and privileged to walk alongside those she serves. She enjoys a good cup of coffee, hiking and quality time with family and friends.
